Comments
Comments: I hiked this one for the SNHG. From parking, an easement crosses a field between two private residences, which leads to a green-blazed connecting trail, which in turn leads to the Blue Trail. The first 0.6 mi. of this route is on town land, but after that it's on private property. Hikers are welcomed by the landowners; please stay on trail and obey posted signage.

Some areas of avoidable ice in shady areas, but otherwise this route was dry with just some minor mud. Once the Blue Trail enters private property, it becomes a very pleasant footpath, and eventually winds up to the steep-sided summit via switchbacks. A great view toward Mt. Monadnock from the summit clearing.

On the descent, I took the Yellow Trail, an alternate 0.6 mi. loop which appears to be lesser-used, wilder and a bit steeper. If I do this hike again, I'll go up this instead of down.
