Comments
Comments: I hiked this one for the SNHG. As noted above the start of the route is confusing. From parking, a newly cut trail leads to the cemetery, then through it for 400 ft., then turns right and left onto a wide path. At 0.1 mi., bear right at fork, then bear right onto a woods road, then turn left at a logged clearing onto a muddy and wet logging road. Ascend this road to a junction at 0.6 mi. (sign for peak), bearing left onto another woods road, presumably ATV access for the airport beacon on top, and follow that all the way to the partly open, ledgy summit at 1.1 mi.

Great views south and southeast to the surrounding hills from the summit. A side path (sign) leads east for 230 ft. to a clifftop outlook with a view to Mt. Monadnock.

A pretty nice summit, but it could use a better route. I imagine this would be a great snowshoe hike in winter though. The corridors are wide and the grades are mostly easy. The only really muddy section was along the eroded logging road. Otherwise, the ground was dry and free of snow and ice.
