Started up at 6:30 pm, so it was cooler (28 deg). The trail was very, very firm, so it was spikes top to bottom. Not many post holes or other hazards, but the snow is very soft off either side of the monorail, so step with care. Ice hasn't reared it's ugly head yet, but there are a few spots where I noted that it would pop up soon.
Once things soften up snowshoes will go back on. It was nice to have a run with just spikes for once, though. |
