Wasn't sure I would splitboard this today or not, but, when much of Cannon was on mechanical/whatever delay first thing this morning, I knew there wouldn't be a million people blowing through it from Cannon - YAY! Perfect skinning!!! I originally bought splitboard crampons for the 13-turns portion of this trail and was glad I had them with me today. Was a bit icy on the accent but nice turns on the descent. Lower portion was getting really mushy and slow - glad I brought some wax with me. No views - totally socked in at the summit but the vistas were nice. |
