Comments
Comments: A NH HIGHEST 500 peak. I followed mt previous snoshoe track up Cobble Hill Trail, to the WMNF boundary. Several new inches of snow covered the previous track. Moose-sign everywhere....never seen anything like it. At the WMNF border, marked by a steel post with a small puece of flagging, bang a left. The track follows a moose-track here and there, first through a beautiful snow-covered bog, then through some dense new growth. There were plenty of spruce traps with though-deep snow, but mostly through open hardwoods. The summit had no view, which is fine, but looking back you could see glimpses of Franc Ridge rising above Cobble Hill, which itself was glowing in the evening alpenglow. Nice hike!
