Did an out and back today:Began up liberty springs trail at 8am using light traction....hit Franconia ridge a lil after 10:30 where snowshoes were necessary. Reached liberty before 11...the push to flume was a little tough dodging pine branches in the face but hey we're playing in mother natures backyard so we always need to expect to have to deal with less than ideal conditions. Reached Flume and just soaked up some sun before retreating out of the wind to grab some lunch...back at the basin at 2:30...simply a near perfect day out there...looking forward to another trip very soon |
