Another section of the WEFT, this time from Currier Road south to Dimond Hill Farm. This section coincides with NH Snowmobile Corridor 11.
In the woods, the snow is shrinking to reveal a solid ice monorail packed down by snowmobiles. I started out in bare boots but quickly switched to spikes and left them on for the rest of the hike. Upon exiting the woods into the open fields at the farm, the trail is mostly bare with patchy snow, mud and running water.
Nice views, if distant, toward the Pawtuckaway Mountains from the farm. |
