After crossing gate, followed FR460 a short distance on a bootleg snomo track then continued on groomed snomoed FR460 another .8 mile.
Turned S on FR104 until approx 2100' breaking 6-8" on good snow over a deep base.
Bushwhack took us through wide open hardwoods, then through a short section of closer growth softwoods with a few apparent sprucy areas that never materialized due to deep consolidated snow pack below the recent snow. Short steep section on ascent. Ascent breaking conditions on excellent snow consistency: mostly 6-12" with an occasional 16" in steep section.
Recognized highpoint found. Outstanding views from summit ledges.
On descent, snow consistency excellent until we reached 2100'. The rest of the descent was on stickier snow that occasionally balled up under the snowshoes. Also occasional postholing even with snowshoes.
