Beautiful “spring†hike today! Trail was broken out from the parking lot to the viewpoint just past Waumbek (worth it!). We started in spikes but switched to snowshoes after a few minutes. Trail between Mt Starr King and Mt Waumbek had seen less use, with more postholes occurring as a result. Snow was very sticky and well packed on our descent for the last ~2 miles. |
