Comments
Comments: Conditions: One lone hiker in snowshoes had come down the trails mentioned above recently, so the trails had one set of snowshoe prints, but by no means broken out. It was hard work, that Bill Marcotte and I had, in breaking the trail all the way to Middle Carter summit. We wore our MSR's with tails. Once on the summit snow squalls and wind created almost whiteout conditions. On the way back down, our tracks had just about disappeared. So, we had to re-break the trails on the way back. From the jct. of the Imp and North Carter Trail down, the trail is pretty well broken, but not consolidated.
