Started in snow shoes with 5 to 6 inches of heavy snow, broke out entire trail to Hancock Loop trail. The snow increased in depth as we ascended. Called it a day .5 mile from the summit of South Hancock due to lack of food and energy. Beautiful and serene walk in the woods. Met quite a few folks on the way out ,some with just crampons and microspikes so----Perfect day for a Saturday,Thank you JS for a great day out. |
