Microspikes served well, snowshoes unnecessary, bareboot would be a little slippery. Caught some breaks of sun on the summit as well as some snow flurries in a few gusts of wind. Snow was pretty solid on the way up but already soft and slushy on the return as the sun came out. There’s probably two stretches of trail where it is not solid and packed down, but it’s not bad enough where you posthole. Areas of bare rock on the upper ledges. Some ice flows around on the ledges. |
