Farr Hill 1,950’
Nice snowshoe bushwhacks to this New Hampshire 500 Highest Peak. From Farr Hill Rd drivable end, we strapped on our snowshoes onto some snowmobile tracks, after a few hundred yards we started bushwhacking northwest, crossed another snowmobile trail and started climbing through an area that had been previously logged. Things got steep as we started seeing lots of moose tracks, dropping and bedding down areas. At about 1,750’ we turned west following older logging roads and very soon we turned north for the finial steep climb to the recognized summit high point with great views. After signing in we retraced our steps back down and then jumped off our tracks following some old logging roads looking for moose antlers with no luck.
Another great adventure with my beautiful bridge Mary!
