Comments
Comments: we walked a short distance on rt 26 then in on campsite access road which looks to get some sporadic winter plowing, though not recently. at the end of the road is a nice covered bridge that crossed us over to bennett st. we walked south for a couple minutes, past a driveway, then left the road to start our bushwhack. after an initial scrappy start we used a couple of old skid road to make good headway up into the drainage. at the end of the second road we continued up in open woods aiming for the small sadddle just south of the summit. probably 8-12" breaking where the base was solid, more difficult and deeper in unconsolidated areas with a little bit of wallowing in a couple spots. once on the ridge the going was good up to the summit and recognized highpoint. we returned in our tracks.
