 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
from rt 26 north of errol we drove in greenough pond road for a bit over 4 miles where the road makes a hard left turn downhill. at this point a diverging logging road is currently plowed in making for plenty of room to park. greenough pond road was well plowed and readily drivable with some care in an awd. this is an active winter logging road so use care especially during the week. |

 | Comments: |
we headed up the logging road where we parked and the skywalk snowmobile trail joined almost immediately. it was well groomed and travelled and made for a quick approach towards dustan from the west. where the snomo corridor turned off the logging road we continued towards the peak enjoying packed trail courtesy of a couple rogue snowmobiles. they had turned around where we planned to start our bushwhack and we headed up in open woods. snow conditions were tough as there was less consolidation than we had seen in a while and some challenging breaking especially in areas of covered low growth or spruce. other than the difficult snow conditions we had good open woods up to the summit ridge a bit north of the summit then slightly better snow up to the summit and recognized highpoint. we returned in our tracks. |
