| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Ravine Lodge Road is gated at 118, but there is plowed parking. The roadwalk from there to the trailhead is about 1.5 miles; that road is plowed after each major storm. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Drifts, Snow/Ice - Postholes |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All crossings are fine. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is in good shape. Deep snow creates a need to duck under some overhanging branches, high on the trail. |

| Lost and Found: |
Found: one "Stabil-icer" traction shoe, blue in color, high on the "balcony" section of the Gorge Brook Trail. I carried it down and left it at the Kiosk at the 118/RavineLodgeRoad parking area. |

| Comments: |
Trail is in good shape. Snowshoes recommended! Snow is very deep and, although the trail is well-packed in places, we crossed many postholes from prior bare-booters. Snow tonight will add to the need for snowshoes. Best to have snowshoes with traction, or bring micro spikes, for the final summit cone - that section of trail is windswept and icy. |
