Comments
Comments: Beautiful, mostly calm, warm day. Mostly cloudy in the beginning and end, sunny during the middle. One of my favorite trails/hike to do in late winter/early spring time. Nice southern exposure and fairly open ridge of mostly hardwood trees with some areas of softwood as well. From the parking lot hiked passed the Sharon Ledges, Burton Peak and turned around at the next set of outlooks, about 0.5 mi north of Burton. Just about 2 miles to turn around where those two outlooks are. Absolutely beautiful, spring like and sunny at times, day. Trail is well packed down and not very deep on a general stable monorail surface. Bareboot would be fine but I recommend some traction if a warmer/sunnier day because conditions softened up a bit. Snowshoes aren't really necessary.
