Comments: Very long day hiking a Bonds in and out. Trail to Bondcliff was nicely packed on the way up. It's inevitable that the trail will be sort of lost on the way up Bond. As you approach the trees, theres a well defined track to the left and a faint track to the right. The right track is the correct one. The trail up West bond is likewise hard to follow. Pick a clear path and follow the contour of the ridge and you will get there.

On the way out, the nice smooth snowshoe track was torn up by some bare booting hikers. We had a few moments recovering from sliding into their trail craters. Guys, if you're reading this, in the future, please be courteous to other trail users and wear snowshoes instead of trashing the track. A tremendous advantage to using the gear which prevents post holing is that you stay drier and therefore warmer. Hint hint.

Be prepared for hours of spruce and other trees to the face. The snow pack is very deep.

The weather was perfect for hiking. Cold enough so the snow didn't ball on our shoes, but still warm by NH winter standards. Little to no wind even on the summits. Visibility was excellent. Washington, Moosilauke and others all perfectly visible
