Clear, calm day. Had all 14 miles to myself. Road is packed down for snowmobiles—great conditions for XC skiing. Trail itself is well packed the first few miles, then it’s a bit powdery the last few miles to summit. Well tracked. Tree branches near too give little breathing room so wear a hard shell. Not as bad as Rocky Branch Trail on Isolation but just don’t wear your new puffy jacket. |
