Fantastic day to be out on any of the peaks . Bluebird skies and powder snow. Trail was well broken out and we improved on it by wearing the snowshoes. There were 3 of us and we saw 3 others coming down. As we decended, we saw a few other hikers and one skier. One of the hikers was a familiar face , the mountain wanderer, Steve Smith, awesome to run into him out wandering. Please wear snowshoes if you head out soon, loads of powdery snow up there that could use more snowshoeing. The only real postholes i saw were from a moose! Loads of moose tracks and poop on the first mile of the mount Garfield trail. |
