Comments
Comments: good packed track most of the way. a bit beat up and postholed in sections with some drifting in the open woods and near the summit. final section between cabin and summit had some route finding to do (per usual in winter). at times followed an old track and at times made my own both sometimes hitting the trail and sometimes not.
wore snowshoes the whole hike.
nice quiet hike up cabot. almost changed my plan to something above treeline as the forecast for the afternoon looked better than it did yesterday, but still felt a little dubious about it and then realized i'd left my heavy shell at home. decision made i guess. real pretty in the woods and some nice views from various points along the route. the drift near the cabin that provides a view to bulge/horn is starting to fill in nicely. great to be out.
