Snowshoes needed.
An inch of snow fell last night, enough to hide but not fill in the postholes on the Crawford Ridgepole Trail. My ankles are sore for stumbling into the carnage left from that parasitic postholer.
Powder is light and fluffy. Base underneath is firm enough to support a snowshoe, but not firm enough to support a boot. Snowpack is 3 to 6 feet. |
