Well we decided to pick something in the southern part of the state due to the high winds. It was a nice little hike in Nelson. The yellow bee sign is where we parked and followed the yellow blazes on and upward. I had not done full research but had read somewhere that the trail would be extended soon. Well after the ledges (which it was snowing and cloudy and windy the entire time) there was a slight view. We started to follow the yellow blazes but once it turned more to the left I took my gaia app and headed for the summit. We did not bushwhack for very long then we saw more yellow blazes and found the trail again(shortcut in open woods haha) well the trail goes all the way to the peak. We found the chair, and thr black top summit sign and signed into the register. The wind was howling but not very cold. We headed back down and this time followed the yellow blazes back, there was only about 2†of snow that we were breaking into and spikes worked just find on the half frozen ground. |
