Comments
Comments: Snow was very loose, no issues going up to East Osceola but was very steep in sections. The way down from Osceola the snow had soften considerably and was still very loose so simple trail crampons were not enough to maintain traction. Should have used full crampons, as one of our members did and had no issues, the rest of us did a lot of un-intentional butt sliding some of which was a bit out of controlled due to steepness. But the trail was packed otherwise and some used trail crampons the whole hike. I used snowshoes until the descent down East Osceola

Great day hiking weather was perfect, no breeze. Lots of snow! definitely can't get off the trail it is very deep, but well packed for the most part. Recommend bringing full trail crampons for steep sections if you have trouble maintaining traction going down. Great trail, took us about 8 hrs or so with lots of breaks and a comfortable pace
