Comments
Comments: Headed up the KRT from Tramway parking. Trail wide, well packed, and easy to follow except for a few exposed sections that had minor drifting. Took the left to East Peak, avoiding Vista Way Ski Trail. Trail conditions still great until climbing out of the col toward the summit. Skiers had packed it almost to ice in some places. The last leg to the tower was drifted and loosely packed. Beautiful sunny day with spectacular views. Windchill on top was the only downside, but hot soup & chili from the cafeteria made up for it. Back down shortly after 3:00, just missed the next group. Great Hike!
