Comments
Comments: Beautiful day with cold temps and some breeze but stunning clarity. Greeley Ponds packed out hard and we wore spikes from the Kanc to the beginning of the steeps on Mount Osceola Trail. Group ahead opted for snowshoes..we went with the crampons and they were perfect on the hard packed base. Chimney bypass a little dicey with a mixture of snow and ice. Crystal clear views from the summit and from the deepened snowpack along the ridge..Of course today was the day I left the memory chip from camera at home in the computer..Crampons were for sure the tool of choice for descent..too slick for butt sliding imo....Nice to run into Jerry Horne and Bill and Earl and Sue along the way..
