We broke trail up to Hale. There is a very steep section where one has to traverse the side of hill, and it was a bit gnarly.
Broke trail down Lend-a-Hand, and then I went up alone to Zealand. The sign marking the turn to Zealand is half-buried! Be prepared to push through a lot of trees to get to Zealand, as there is a LOT of snow up there.
From the Zealand Falls hut to 302 is nicely packed down, either microspikes or bare boots should do. |
