 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Polecat up was nicely packed, and we wore snowshoes to help keep it that way. Wildcat Ridge Trail was beautifully packed. Felt like 4 feet of snow up there total — blazes were at our hips. Wore snowshoes the whole way until we returned to Wildcat D and changed to spikes for the walk down Polecat. |

Thank you to all the folks who broke out the trail the past few days. You are awesome! A handful of postholes made us focus a bit more than usual. The snow is deep and soft and so I suggest snowshoes if going up tomorrow. The hike from D to A was exhausting. We almost turned around just shy of A. Luckily Sam and friend came across at that moment and encouraged us to finish. Glad we took their advice — we were closer than we thought. Much easier hike back to D and down the ski hill. A beautiful sunset over Washington as we descended. |
