Comments
Comments: road is snowmobiled and a little loose on top which made for nice snowshoeing. signal ridge trail packed out all the way. packed quite hard initially by the brook then lightly drifted over and a bit softer the rest of the way. open ridge was windpacked. i wore snowshoes the whole hike. the road could certainly be booted as could some of the trail, but snowshoes are your best bet.
this is such a nice hike in the winter (despite the road walk). ended up being much nicer weather than i had expected on the drive up. limited, but interesting views and some solid winds along the ridge and on the summit tower. nice to meet sterling and have some conversation on the road walk. great day to be out.
