The hike to the hut was easy, good footing with spikes on. From the hut the wind was strong but not too cold with my face covered. I didn't reach the summit because of strong gusts pushing me down. Stopped a 1/3 of the summital cone in rocks mixed with blue ice. I went on the Parapet Trail instead where the view was also awesome and which was less windy. Microspikes are necessary above the hut. |
