No shoes needed. I wore crampons. They werent necessary for 99.9% of the hike, but the last pitch before summit was kind of soft and crumbly ice. It was doable in micros, and the axe wasnt needed, but i was glad i had both. Aside from the last pitch, the trail was a nice packed snow monorail. |
