Parked at the picnic lot next to the Irving gas station. The Trail Parking lot is only a minutedown the road on the right; it’s plowed but icy. Trailhead parking was also accesible but you probably need a all wheel drive car. |

In good condition overall. A few lean- overs— a tall person might need duck. Some frozen postholes along the ridge between Starr King and Waumbek summits. |

| Comments: |
Very easy trail. Going up to Starr King is easy to moderate and steady climb. The ridge between the summits is probably 0.9 miles, pretty level with a few easy ups. It took me about 25 mins to complete this part. Trail is hard packed and frozen. Had crampons all the way, snowshoes had a free ride. The entire hike was very insulated from winds. |
