The trail from car to car was a great packed sidewalk perfect for microspikes. The freezing rain from Friday and the deep freeze on Saturday made for almost styrofoam snow. There are a couple deep postholes every now and then from the Spring-like conditions earlier in the week but they didn't cause any problems. I used snowshoes on Fishin' Jimmy only for the heel lifts, and switched back to micros for the descent. There are a couple of hard ice spots on the steeps but they're small and can be avoided easily. Really nice blue bird day with perfect trail conditions. Some great sledding on the way down too :) |
