OK, don't do what I did.
Hiking up Mt Jackson was straightforward. Trail is lovely, and broken out like you read about. Summit was pretty clean of drifting snow. In short, that much of the day was absolutely lovely.
But I thought trying to bag Pierce on the same trip would be a good idea. Don't do that. I ended up post holing in snow that was typically knee-deep, but would occasionally go far deeper. It was two hours just to get to the hut. Mercifully, Crawford Path was in amazing shape, and once I hit that, I made excellent time back to the car, having decided to ditch my plans to bag Pierce. (The views of Isolation and Davis were pretty good, though.)
Temps were extremely clement, and wind wasn't that bad at all.
