Was going to attempt pine bend but the road was way to narrow to park on, Sabbaday was the backup. One car was in the lot at around 740am, there was a pretty good packed trail to the falls area and than it was mostly powder and we packed down some more after the 1 brave sole who started the trail before us. Made it to the water crossing and decided to turn back after seeing/feeling the thin ice covered in snow and the fact that the day would be warming, I also didn't want to finish packing the trail all day. Did see a pair of hikers on way out and told them about the water crossing, not sure if they made it to top and helped to pack the trail or not. |
