Comments
Comments: Great and challenging day on the Frenchman! Trail was in good shape, but could still use several snowshoers to the hut. Lots of bareboots. From hut to Lafayette, we still continued in snowshoes. Enough ice to warrant it and not wreck the shoes. Trail is extremely ambiguous from the 'fishhook' turn to the summit cone. No fall zone, thankfully we knew where we had to go! From Lafayette summit to Little Haystack, we wore hillsounds to not kill the snowshoes.. The ice depth will likely change for the better as its currently freezing rain here in N. Woodstock (and was up on ridge). Virtually no vis today so not many people on the ridge, maybe half a dozen.

Drip drip drip.. 26 for SSW
