Parking at the trailhead? The road is packed snow, so slick. Parking at the Irving gas station is an option, as is the "Trail Parking" area on the Presidential Highway, less than 1/4 mile from the trailhead. (Trail Parking area is well plowed.) |

It was crazy cold out (single digits) and yet an amazing day out. There were people in abundance, but the trail never felt crowded. Maybe it's the shared insanity of winter hiking. The trail was well packed out, no blowdowns that I could see. Great views of the Prezzies until about lunchtime (when the ceiling dropped, as it does). A very gentle trail that was nothing less than inviting. In short, a day not to be missed.
Photos and video on my blog. |
