| Comments: |
Did this one with Colin and the pups. We were able to start late and still get a spot in the lot. There were plenty of people out ahead of us - some using snow shoes others with just spikes. Lots of postholing by the spikers. The snow was soft but not wet or sticky. Unlike most days, the masses went counterclockwise while we went clockwise. The trail had already partially blown in by the time we went through (maybe 30 minutes after those before us). The whole route could use a good freeze cycle to harden everything up. Great sledding down South Hancock. |
