Comments
Comments: Second solo winter hike ever.

Surprised to find the lot full at 9:15am, which added a long road walk to either end of the hike. Trail was packed powder until I passed the group in front right before the trail steepened.. Broke trail in untouched, loose powder to the summit. Was too exhausted to break trail to the viewpoint 0.2 miles past the summit so turned around from there. There’s a nice view of the Tripyramids from an outlook 10 seconds before the summit.

Lots of people on the trail today so it should be packed down now. Still, wear snowshoes or you’ll destroy the trail.
