Drove up Mill Brook Rd. approx .1 mile. Shoveled out parking spots for 2 vehicles at what appeared to be a former logging road. |

We snowshoed SE through clear cuts and then open hardwoods where the ascent began. At approx 1950' we hit a cliff band covered with blue ice with no safe way through. Changed direction to SSE and easily skirted the cliff band to reach wide open woods. Returned to our SE direction along the ridge through wide open woods. Eventually turned N through a brief steep pitch and then SE to the recognized highpoint and the firetower remains.
Breaking snow depth - at least 12", and often deeper.
Grades - initially slight, often moderate, occasionally steep.
