Comments
Comments: Started out around 10 under clear skies after a quick jaunt up Tecumseh in the AM. We hauled up to Livermore Trail. Looked like a few had been up before us but no more than 2. Tough going with ice/powder post holing, even in snowshoes, Scaur Ridge was semi broken out. The person or people who broke trail before us had stopped just before the turn to head up to the ridge, we continued and broke trail up to the junction with Pine Bend. Turns out our route is off course just before the junction but it’ll get you there. Lost Pend Bend quite a few times and wandered around for quite some time. Submitted both mountains and walked out in the dark. I’d say to definitely have snow shoes and even if you do, make sure you are in good shape. This was not for the weak of heart. Lots of hard work to get these peaks from WV
