Zealand Rd essentially hard packed.
trail had been both snowshoed and barebooted with resulting postholes and uneven surface.
we decided to bareboot it in order to not repeat the prior day's experience on the Mt. Willard Trail.
easily barebooted it, without postholing, due to hard trail surface
area of steps was OK
