Comments
Comments: Thanks Rocket21 for recent report - there are indeed HUGE/DEEP postholes at the very edges of the (*mostly*) packed trail. I am puzzled why the couple dozen people I saw today going up or down were all wearing microspikes and carrying snowshoes (or just wearing micros and not carrying any snowshoes?????) - ? I don't know why it is a huge mystery what to wear? I was glad I saw 3 people on snowshoes.

At the top .5 or .25 miles the trail is getting ripped up by barebooters and wanders all over the krumholz plus there's occasional postholing deep between rocks. On the descent, I took much of the Kinsman Glade Ski Trail as the glade was closed to skiers today and I did not sink in with snowshoes on.

Beautiful views! Had a fun morning riding Cannon & Mittersill then came over to snowshoe back up. Very fun!!!!
