I did the entire thing in microspikes, leaving the snowshoes in the car. I don't recommend it. Micros were fine until the steeps and then I was post holing in deep snow. The carriage road was more difficult with deep drifts. Encountered a few dozen folks on the way down (I was first up), so your mileage may vary tomorrow. Still I think you'd want snowshoes on the Carriage Road at a minimum.
