| Comments: |
Zealand road had been driven on with a tracked ATV, which caused some big ruts. Otherwise good hard surface for snowshoeing. Sugarloaf tr. had only been touched by a pair of barebooters. In some places they were only sinking a few inches, but there were some big postholes too. In snowshoes, the snow was surprisingly supportive, and I was never going in more than a few inches. Near the top of middle, I encountered the barebooters who roughed up my accent track just a bit. I was the first to go to the north peak, finding easy breaking to the summit. |
