| Comments: |
Thursday's thaw/freeze cycle turned most of the packed trail into a hard consolidated surface, including quite a few now-frozen postholes from over-eager barebooters earlier this week. Trail crampons/microspikes are sufficient from the CG to the Lake. The Cascade Brook Trail to the dam is traveled, but not well-packed. Snowshoes are a better choice for this segment unless you like surprises.
There has been no recent traffic across the Lake.
Hi-Cannon at LLT to Dodge Cutoff is untouched since the last snowstorm.
The LLT to KRT looks packed out.
Dodge Cutoff at Lake end is packed out, so presumably upper Hi-Cannon is, too,
Around Lonesome Lake Trail from the Hut to LLT is not packed out.
Fishing Jimmy past the is semi-broken, saw several groups heading up that way this AM. |
