| Comments: |
Well packed snow shoe trail starting at the Gale River Rd. to the top of Mt. Garfield. It was solid in the morning and we barebooted to the summit. No trace of travel on the Garfield Ridge Tr. east of the Jct of Garfield Tr. or west of Garfield summit. The warm temperature did soften the lower part of the trail but we never broke through. Noticed that previous hiker had also cut some of the lean-ins. Never saw another hiker today despite blue sky, warm temperatures, great views and just a little wind on the summit cone. It was a stellar outing. |
