Whitehouse was broken out. Liberty Springs was drifted in initially, then not broken out at all. Slow going with heavy snow. Zero degrees to start at 9 am (when wind chill advisory ended). Stiff winds on top when came out of trees. Strong enough to knock you over, basically crawled the last little bit to summit. Beautiful bluebird day for all that and fantastic views. Snow shoes a must to preserve the now nicely packed trail. Saw no one all day and we were only car in parking lot to begin and end the day. |
