Comments
Comments: Out and back to Zealand Mountain today from Route 302 winter parking lot. We barebooted Zealand Road to Zealand Trailhead, then wore snowshoes the rest of the day. Zealand Trail is firm-packed to the hut, mostly firm (with some postholes) to Zeacliff. Snowshoes essential past Zeacliff jct on the Twinway to Zealand Mountain spur. No tracks toward Guyot from the Zealand Mountain spur; looks like no one has been past Zealand jct since the last storm. Be prepared to break it out. Minus 14 to start, maybe that's one of the reasons we had the trails all to ourselves all day. Great day out with Joyce on a beautiful clear and cold day.
