|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Lots of trees bent over into the trail. Frozen in place. Some are walk-arounds, and some are push-throughs. Expect to come in contact with lots of snow. Waterproof shell would be helpful. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Dry, cold snow conditions made for ice balls in pads. Wicket had to turn around due to ice balls and a cracked claw. Trail is broken out better now so it should be easier on paws. |

| Comments: |
Trail was well- broken for first 1 1/2 miles, then it was necessary to break trail the rest of the way to the summit. A few more sets of snowshoes would go a long way toward packing out the trail more firmly. If you want this peak for winter, go now before it snows again. No ice. |
